Bio.

Born Leeds, England in 1960.
Trained in the darkroom and then as a Trainee Photographer on the Yorkshire Evening Post and The Yorkshire Post in Leeds from 1976-1990.
Emigrated to Australia in 1990 to work for the Sydney Morning Herald.
Became full time Sports Photographer for the SMH in 1992.
His many assignments have included seven Olympic Games, four Rugby World Cups, Coverage of the Australian Soccer team in Iran, Uruguay, South Korea, Japan, the Solomon Islands and the FIFA World Cup in Germany.
Daily life stories in Australia, Uganda, Romania, France, Italy, Vanuatu, The Philippines. Bolivia.

He has been recognised for the standard of his work winning eight World Press Awards including three first place awards in 1994, 2004 and 2007.

In 2003, The Observer Sport Magazine, UK, put four of Tim's pictures into it's magazine showing the 50 best sports pictures ever.

He is a keen campaigner on ethics in photo-journalism and has recently begun assisting in photo workshops and discussion groups to help the profession reach an acceptable ethical standard while also helping the next generation of photo journalists in their development. He is keen on developing documentary photo-essay's in Sports Photography to help put the profession on a par with other areas of photo-journalism.
He left the Sydney Morning Herald in 2008 to pursue a freelance career.
